Microsoft Circular Centers Sustainable Asset Management
Challenge:
Microsoft Circular Center pilot was in search of a robust supply chain management system for optimized warehouse routing and processing system to increase efficiency and productivity and to intercept decommissioned servers from Microsoft datacenters.
Solution:
They have embraced Microsoft’s reverse supply chain management solution that perfectly and accurately receives, routes, and processes parts from Microsoft’s decommissioned servers. They implemented Microsoft D365 Supply Chain Management and Power Platform to achieve optimal reuse, resale, and recycling of assets.
Impact:
They are now able to have more available servers and network parts for internal reuse. In the last year, they were able to achieve 83% reuse and 17% recycle of important components and parts. Also, they were able to cut down carbon emission by 145,000 metric tons CO2 equivalent.
